gamguru BLACKJACK RULES
|
Blackjack Rules Online Casino Blackjack rules follows similar rules to Atlantic City card game rules as authorised by the New Jersey Casino Control Commission except that the cards are shuffled after every card game using a Random Number Generator based on an eight pack deck of cards. Pairs may be split once only and if the pair in question is a pair of Aces only one additional card may be drawn for each of the two Aces. Blackjack Rules Outline You are playing Blackjack card games against a computer that plays a dealer's Blackjack strategy. Both you and the dealer are dealt two cards. The winner is whoever gets a hand nearest in value to 21 without getting more than this when your hand would be considered to be bust. Aces may count as either 1 or 11, number cards have their face value and picture cards count as 10. The value of a hand is the sum of all the cards' values. If both player and dealer get the same value of hand it is called a push and your stake is returned. If you go bust during the card game you lose even if the dealer also goes bust. Since the Ace may have a value of either 1 or 11 if the dealer has an Ace and goes over 21 (Blackjack) the Ace will automatically be considered to count as 1. The value of any Ace in your hand will be which ever of its two values gives you the best hand. The dealer will keep taking cards until they have 17 or more and then stand. How to Bet in Online Blackjack At the bottom of the screen you will see piles of chips of different denomination from £1 to £500, simply left click on one of the piles and a corresponding bet is placed, left click any pile again to add that amount to your stake and right click to reduce your stake in the same way. If you bet less than the table limit your bet is revised upwards. To replace the previous bet in the subsequent card game you can hit the '' 0'' on your keyboard. Blackjack Play After placing your bet you are dealt two cards which you evaluate and the dealer takes two cards one face up the other face down. You now have four choices. By clicking the appropriate button you can either 1) Hit and take another card ( you can hit repeatedly but if you go over 21 you are bust) or 2) Stand in which case you will not receive any more cards in this hand. If you get a pair you can 3) Split the cards into two and play each separately ( a white box appears above the active hand ) as you would any other hand.. Your initial bet applies to each hand and you still win on a 1 to 1 payout. You cannot however, further split a hand and if the Pair you have split is made of Aces you can only draw one further card for each Ace. Your last choice is to 4) Double Down which allows you to double your bet but at the expense of only being able to draw one more card before your turn is over. If the dealers upturned card is an Ace you have another choice called 5) insurance. You will be able to press the insurance button and bet an amount equal to half your original bet or press the pass button in which case you will continue with the rest of the hand. You should consider insurance to be a separate bet from the rest of the card game that the dealer will get 21 when their down card is revealed i.e. that their second card is either a ten, Jack, Queen or King. This is called a Natural Blackjack and you are paid out at 2 to 1 on the insurance bet but you automatically lose the main bet unless you also get a blackjack, in which case a push is declared and your stake is returned. If the dealer doesn't get a Natural Blackjack the insurance is lost and the rest of the hand continues as usual. If in the normal course of the card game you win with a Natural Blackjack ( two cards) you are paid out at 3 to 2 odds instead of the normal 1 to 1 odds (equal to 2 to 2) so you will win half as much again. For example if you bet £10 at 1 to 1 you would get your £10 back plus another £10 but at 3 to 2 you would get your £10 back plus another £15. Betting Limits You can play Blackjack card games for free in practice mode which ''gives'' you a pretend £5000 to play with or you can gamble for real. The default settings on a real blackjack card game table are normally £2 minimum and £2500 maximum but you can alter this by going into Game Menu and then Bet Options. This setting can only be changed once a week ( ending 5 o'clock Friday morning ) and affects the table limit on all games.
